Sergi Bruguera has qualified for the BlackRock Masters Tennis at the Royal Albert Hall in London (December 4-9) after establishing a huge lead at the top of the South African Airways Champions Tour Rankings.
The Spaniard has been almost unbeatable on clay this year, winning titles in Barcelona, Rome, Hamburg and this weekend in Paris.
“First of all I’m looking forward to playing in Eindhoven which is my next tournament, but after that is London and the BlackRock Masters,” said Bruguera.
“The Royal Albert Hall is a nice place to play and it has amazing scenery. I always like to play there.”
The top seven players in the Rankings will qualify automatically with the field of 12 completed by five wild cards.
Bjorn Borg has been given the first of the invitations.
After the Alex Tennis Classics in Eindhoven (October 4-7), the Tour will visit Frankfurt (Germany), Liege (Belgium) and Sao Paulo (Brazil) before arriving at the BlackRock Masters Tennis at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
